Feminists for Men Inc.

We Provide Much-needed Support and Resources for Men and Single Fathers Who are Going Through a Rough Patch with the Goal to Reduce Mental Health Struggles, Violence & Suicide Rates.

What we know

The Problem

Society ignores and denies that men’s mental and emotional health need attention and resources. The U.S. government cuts down its male-focused budget every year. Meanwhile, 80% of all suicide deaths are men. Each day thousands of men become victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and physical violence. Instead of providing help and resources for them, society shames, ridicules, and incarcerates them and attends their funerals.

There are far too few resources available for all men in general especially straight men. Male-focused resources to assist them through child custody problems, and divorce headaches are next to none. There are too few shelters available for men and most of the existing ones are substandard and lack amenities, basic hygiene, and are not safe. Many fathers are forced to stay in unhealthy households to protect their children. More often than not, these fathers don’t have the means to remove their children from a toxic household and take them to a safe environment.

What we do

Education & Awareness & Action

Patriarchy has dehumanized men into unemotional creatures with no feelings, who can control their hormone secretion with a blink of a stoic eye – never needing help. Women are deemed complicated and bothersome and men are deemed simple and easy. This idiotic view has resulted in a lack of attention to men’s issues and neglect in providing targeted resources for them.

Instead of following the rotten tradition of control-through-shame by barking at men to man up and shut up, be a man, don’t be a sissy, and call it a day, Feminists for Men Inc. is committed to shining a light on quiet, neglected, and downplayed pain that men go through that eventually leads into violence and suicide.

1 in 4 men in the US will experience rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner.
1 in 7 men (13.8%) age 18 and older in the US have been the victim of severe physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime.
The rate of suicide fatality for men vs women in the U.S., Canada, the U.K, and most other countries is 4:1 and even higher in Israel.
